The race for the top spot appears to be heating up as England currently lead the PS3 world rankings, yet Italy are hot on the tails with only 4 points less.

It's a bitter pill to swallow for Italy, especially when they lost 1-0 to England in the 8 Nations final in a closely fought match. It was not a surprise that England took the title as they never conceded a single goal in the entire tournament but if there is any team to change that it would appear Italy are the most likely.

With 3rd place Costa Rica 30 points behind Italy it looks very much to be a two horse race at the moment but as we all know, the game of football is not a black and white game, it's a game with many shades of grey and anything can happen.

One major issue for England is the recent issues with the Playstation Network, as we all know the Playstation Network was hacked and was down for a long time and this has caused many PS3 owners to invest in a 360. It would appear that a large number of these people were PS3 England Internationals which leaves the question, will they return to the PS3 to further enhance their dominance or will they remain on the 360 side of the water and look to make their way into the 360 International team? Only time will tell.
