Hi there, as iv'e only been on FVPA for about a year ( and i'm old  ) and now only really getting the jist of the website, i would like to make a ( suggestion, thought , opinion or whatever you want to call it :!: ).

1st things 1st i wanna congratulate sid on becoming ENGLAND manager for the 2nd time around ( i only know he was previous manager to SG, so forgive me if i got info wrong ). AS sid has already stated " he will give trials after tourney has finished ". I fully understand that being manager on such short notice, sid is going to go with what he knows, ie: taking the squad he's taking with him. No point in trialling or building team chemistry with new unproven players ( so people should be patient and deal with the situation has arisen.

2. I also understand people are frustated by the current events ( as i'm in the same situation ie: apply apply apply no light at end of the tunnel ) we will have to deal with it. As putting comments that have been posted in the FVPAi thread won't help ur cause in the future to trial ( but understand the rage).

3.Whilst people have thier right to be disheartened and upset with the situation and voice their opinions, THERE IS NO NEED TO MAKE SARCASTIC comments and gloat about the fact ur in the team for the tourney> This only shows the standard of who u actually are, ie: obviously a great player but a bad attitude and person towards others, makes me think would i actually wanna be a team mate of yours? ( this maybe other pople's thoughts aswell )

4. My idea for FVPA to think about or for you to agree or disagree. As ps3 side of things seems to be dead ( this is all i read on here ). FVPA are bringing an advanced experience on pro clubs and are acting as the real F.A on our behalf. If this is the case would it not be possible to have the international manager and players be picked/chosen from the league that FVPA create and advertise. If FVPA were to announce something along these lines, THEN surely wen ps3 season 3 is announced their would be alot more interest and applicants as their is even more insentive to join but must also complete the league ( without pulling out) knowing this is a possibility would also put everyone on an even keel and encourage clubs and players NOT to fold? This wil also sort out the xbox ps3 dilemma, as only ps3 players can be picked for ps3 internationals and vice versa with xbox ( you will get active members for each console playing for the country they represent on the console they represent)

5. Before any silly comments come in, I DON'T WANNA BE ENGLAND manager as i don't have the time and it's hard enough and time filling just tryna keep your club going. Also this is the 1st season my club has been involved with FVPA ie: season 2 ( this is why i mentioned season 3 as this is an idea for the future and can't be implicated now so i'm NOT suggesting that season 2 club members only have a chance with FVPAi it's for the future )

6. I apoligise if this is in the wrong thread ( move it the topic if it is required ) :fvpa:

7. GOOD LUCK TO ENGLAND!

So in short you are suggesting players should be picked out of the league tot play for England. Making more people apply for the league and actually play.

If so good idea, If not then thats my idea :)

It sounds good in theory. The leagues would be more competitive and bigger.

I appreciate you have taken the time to come up with an outcome to a situation that seems to upset a fair few people. I however am a firm believer in picking you strongest possible team for events such as the 8 nations. Like i said i can see the point you are getting at but up to now England have won all tournie that they have competed in on the foundations that have been set now and find it really hard to look past that. People will always be unhappy when not picked but theres nothing i can do when i know that the team that i have picked is infact much stronger than any lineup that could be made up from the members who just sulk and make issues. The latest thread was simply non squad members arguing with themselves and trying 2 make themselves believe they should get caps in interest of being fair which as i have said b4 is absoulute testicles.

I would also like to add that i 'Simon Douglas' the jesus to iFVPA football, the king of the jungle and the most electrfying man in iFVPA entertainment will be taking over for the Euros then will see what the admins have to say after that. I dont need to write up a huge application to tell people why i should be England manager because i have already shown that have the testicular fortitude to make important decisions that do indeed bring home the medals.

Life isn't fair im affraid lads nor should iFVPA football be so. You earn your caps by standing out from the crowd and playing the football that will WIN games. The players i have are all big game players with big game exp and proven top 5 material. Yes there are a few that are hard to manage but so what, id rather have a few loonys in my team that i no will win us medals then a few yes sir no sir robots.

May all your days be merry and bright, never pretend to be someone else and most importantly always respect your mother.

Your dearest friend,

Simon x

Very fair comment bud, but i'm not suggesting that u shouldn't be manager now or have the players in the squad that you have now. All i'm basically suggesting is as ur ENGLAND manager would't it be appropiate if u actually managed a club in the fvpa league on the ps3 side of things in the future ( ps3 season 3 ). Like iv'e stated" ps3 clubs is dead " all im trying to suggest as it is proven that xbox side of fvpa have 2 leagues whilst ps3 side have 1 league and had 2 teams pull out. Don't you think it's in the interest of fvpa ( a clubbing website ) to get ps3 side of things up to the same interest as the xbox?
OH and great management coming out in public to defend ur players  ( this is NOT a sarcastic comment)

I agree that this idea can only help this site and it's leagues to become more competitive with much more intrest shown.

I agree that perhaps a manager does owe it to his nation to at least be prepared to look at new talent and perhaps people he does not know ( after all if u don't know them how can u say u have better?).

But I also agree that the managers word is final and that he has the right to do as he wishes as I'm sure everyone else would in his position. FIFA is full of managers that give in to player pressure or buckle too easily, if Sid was to do this then I'm sure he would lose a lot more respect than by upsetting ppl with his selections.

So all in all. YES IT'S A GREAT IDEA. And YES SID IS AWARE OF THIS. (as he said he is willing to look at things after the tournie) SO for now, i for one wanna wish him n the team luck and look forward to another trophy coming home. :fvpa:

Amen

This is NOT a decision as far as i'm concerned to be made by Sid or anyone else to say how FVPA is run, the point is getting ps3 side of things back on track, but thank you alki for your comments ie: stating it would be a good idea to help clubs, but then went the opposite way with your following comments

Lol. It's not about going one way or the other, It's simply me saying that YES it's a good idea but also to remind people that it's SIDS decision n that people should respect.

I mean if u was England manager but was told who n how to pick I'm sure ud feel like a right tool.
Just let ppl do their jobs n hopefully commen sense will prevail!
