SV Lebowski FVPA FIFA 12 Sunday League Champions!

A short while back it was identified that we needed a league to keep us going until the release of FIFA 13. Certain teams offered to join in, we had some fantastic teams that signed up, Purple Dragons and PFL Underdogs to say a few; but the shining stars...SV Lebowski.

The league was ran through the new community builder, added to the FVPA to see what interest there would be for the new features; facebook style wall, the opportunity to add videos from games by members for specific groups, or to have private and confidential forums for teams to discuss things.

Whilst clean and easy to use, it was a hardship for some teams - confused by the dual forums running, and not really having the time to spend playing with the features.

Nevertheless, the competition in some cases was brutal, and looking at the league table you can see why:

Played 10, Won 9 and drawn only one; the biggest achivement appears to have been playing in 10 games and not conceding a sausage! 23 goals for and 0 against, impressive standings for a team who are willing to be patient and also play against anyone they match up with.

Whilst the league fell apart through no fault of some teams, what was gained was important information for the organisers, we know who is reliable, who is willing to be flexible and also who is good fun and can report their scores. This has all been taken upon board and will be used when we come around to FIFA 13. We're hoping teams will be pleasantly surprised for what we have in store.
